St Thomas’ Hospital
The Post Natal Ward at St Thomas’ Hospital approached Ocura for help in selecting the right furniture for their staff restroom, which was in the process of being improved. The existing furniture was old leftover patient chairs from various waiting zones. The Trust knew providing a safe and comfy environment for staff to relax would have a positive output on staff wellbeing.
The Approach
Ocura worked with the ward staff to help them select the correct furniture, the Trust wanted the pieces to match the new colour of the room. By investing in their staff room the Trust has allowed hardworking staff to have a good quality break, ensuring they head back to the ward recharged and rested.
The Outcome
Not only does the new furniture look great, but it’s also comfortable, and includes recliner chairs so that staff can have a sleep when needed.
Since the room was completed, staff have commented how much break times have improved, and are very happy with the new area.
