Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is a form of international private business self-regulation which aims to contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature by engaging in or supporting volunteering or ethically oriented practices.
Working together to walk, run, cycle the distance between our two offices (Aberdeen to Paddock Wood), Ocura managed to cover the return journey of 1,228 miles raising £5,000 for the King’s College Hospital Charity which included staff participation in the 2021 Great Hospital Hike.
Hamper donations to both King’s College Hospital Charity and Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity with further donations to Barts Charity Christmas Appeal.
Regular donations to our local Aberdeenshire North Foodbank
Regular support of RRT Charity (www.rrtglobal.org) with voluntary personnel and monetary donations. Two colleagues volunteered to support the extensive police operation surrounding the COP26 summit, donating 13,000 RRT Care Kits, filled with personal care products and water.
Ocura staff help deliver 25 food parcels to Balmedie Primary School (near our manufacturing facility in Scotland), for single parents to support them through the 2021 festive period.
Donation of £5,000 worth of furniture to staff wellbeing zones in Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2020.
Ocura colleagues supported the emergency services welfare team for 3 days (via RRT) at the site of the Stonehaven derailment tragedy in Aberdeenshire in 2020.
