Ocura Healthcare Furniture is pleased to have completed the NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment. The Assessment is a self-assessment and reporting tool and resulted in us receiving a Level 1: Publicly committed to net zero carbon and engaged with sustainability. Find out more.

GHG Emissions Data for FY24 (Period 1^st January 2024 to 31^st December 2024)

Renewable Energy Generation

1.0 Solar Generation 

• Solar panels were fitted at the Peterhead facility in June 2023.
• Solar generation is weather dependent and can be highly seasonal. As such, energy rates will fluctuate across the year.
• Savings are based on actual generation data rather than forecast data.

• Total verified carbon savings achieved through solar generation for FY24 were 6.8 tCO2e.
• FY24 renewable energy generation was equivalent to approximately 33% of total Scope 2 carbon.

Ocura ESG Targets Framework

Quantitative Carbon Targets for Ocura

1. Transition to 100% renewable energy and remove Scope 2 emissions by 2025
2. Reduce absolute emissions from our operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 50% by 2030
3. Reduce our carbon intensity from across our operations (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 15% by 2030
4. Transition to zero carbon supply and distribution by 2038
5. Achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040

Phase 1: Short Term

1. 5% reduction against FY23 baseline
2. Transition to 100% renewable energy and remove Scope 2 emissions (Target 1)

Phase 2: Medium Term

1. 15% absolute reduction against FY23 baseline by 2030
2. Overall 50% operational carbon reduction from both Scope 1 and 2 (Target 2)

Phase 3: Long Term

1. 30% absolute reduction against FY23 baseline by c.2032
2. 50% absolute reduction against FY23 baseline by 2035 with Scope 1 and 2 removed
3. Longer term reductions are contingent on wider societal and infrastructural changes e.g. green fleet network
4. Phase 3 targets can be reviewed and reset without issue
