The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital is a specialist orthopaedic hospital located in Greater London. Requiring only the very best seating solutions for their patients in the new 91 bed inpatient building.
The Brief
The requirement was set:

- Provide equality for all users, offering height adjustment
- Efficient transfer with a drop arm
The Approach
Open day presentations to staff and patients, a mini competition within a national framework, followed by in-depth patient trials formed the basis of the detailed competitive selection process. Combining the brief with our knowledge of hospital requirements and patient needs, Ocura selected the Arvada® chair from our extensive range to put forward to the client.
The Outcome
Up against chairs from six other providers, Ocura won hands-down with the Arvada® chair, securing the order for all 95 chairs. The Arvada® was rated number 1 by the Trust’s evaluation team on every single one of the listed criteria.
