Clifton Hospital
To support Clifton Hospital with the major refurbishment of its dementia unit by providing a bespoke colour coordinated storage solution for patients.
The Brief
In response to the latest Dementia research, the hospital has undertaken a far-reaching programme to create the ideal environment for patients which helps them feel calmer, safer and more confident finding their way around independently. The use of colour, particularly in sign posting, was a key consideration. The wide variety of colours that our bedside cabinets and wardrobes come in made them the ideal choice to compliment this project.
The Approach
The hospital spoke with our expert customer services team to discuss their requirements. We then hosted a demonstration of the cabinets at the hospital.
After a successful visit and excellent feedback Ocura’s bedside cabinet with two upper drawers and wardrobe unit mounted to the rear was selected.
The Outcome
The hospital ordered 96 units in seven different colours, after receiving funding from their charity, Blue Skies.
All of the cabinets were delivered and installed in a phased approach by Ocura Healthcare Furniture.
The hospital is delighted with the impact the cabinets have had on the wards and have featured them across their social media channels.
